No, I didn't drop off the face of the earth.

Ok, so. hmm... What to write about... Oh I know! School's starting in a few days :( Um, I'm finally taking Driver's Ed, and, if I do say so myself, I'm a pretty good driver considering I've only driven three times.
I've pretty much found my calling in life: to endlessly read fashion blogs, wear beautiful clothes, and live in luxury and jewelry for the rest of my life. Oh, and stay young forever. Ahh, if I were in charge of the world...
Ok, so part of the reason I haven't been on in a few months is that my tyrannical father turned off the internet for the summer. I've been forced to frequent visits to the library, which isn't easy if you don't have a car and everyone who does has other plans. I've also been going to my dad's shop when his employees are all gone, since he still has internet. Oh, did I mention he got a new, completely superfluous computer also? Hypocrite.
OH SHOOT!! I just remembered I had to be at my friend's house an hour ago! Ok Bye!

Sunday

ok, so it's Sunday. I got back from church at 12:30-ish. I just finished my English homework and I should do my math but I'll just put it off and do it tomorrow at lunch. I went shopping yesterday and bought 4 shirts, a skirt, and a dress jumper thing. Hang on, I'll find a picture like it. It's like this, http://www.modcloth.com/store/ModCloth/Womens/Day+to+Evening+Dress, only without the ruffles and folds. By the way, feel free to admire and desire the rest of the clothes on that website. I love all of it. Almost. Anyway, all of the shirts are short-sleeved. Three of the shirts are horizontally striped, because I've been obsessed with the nautical theme lately. All of them are navy and white. There's one with thick stripes, then one with thin, same-size stripes, and the last has thin navy stripes and thick white stripes with a pocket just above the hip with the stripes running vertically. The next shirt is purple with elastic running up the sleeves and a part of the sides. That shirt is the third purple thing in my closet, even though I love the color.
My sister recently got a job at Vanity and now she's always telling me to stop by and buy something. She's been buying some cute stuff from there so I decided I'd check it out online first before I waste the time to drive down there and look through the clothes. But I think I would have wasted less time and seen more if I had driven down there. Their website is soo slooooww. I've been on it for an hour and I've only seen a small part of the tops. Yeah, I know. Ooh, look, the pants page came up! Alright well, from what I've seen (about three pages of tops and pants) most of these clothes don't seem to fit my style. Now, ModCloth, on the other hand... :) I just wish I was a billionare so I could buy all the clothes I want! I'll be rich one day, I know it. ;) ok, I'm kind of done with this post. Not that I couldn't talk about clothes all day! But I have other things I could do. Bye!

Crew

I live in Idaho. Just thought you guys should know that.

In this post, I will talk about rowing. Boats are probably the greatest recreational invention ever. Ever. I mean, you can race them, go tubing, waterskiing, fishing, and row. Rowing is, ah, beyond words. It's such a good feeling when you're sitting in the middle of a glassy lake, occasionally slicing through the water and churning up the mirror surface. Or when you're starting a race and you're sitting still and it's all peaceful, then you burst into action at the signal and turn the water into froth in a matter of seconds. Ahhh. As I mentioned before, I do Crew, which is rowing. I just got back from my first practice of the summer season. There's a fall and a summer season, and last year was my first year ever doing crew, or even hearing about it. See, my friend (we'll call her L) had a sister who did Crew so L got a flyer when the Crew people came to our school. L, another friend (D), and I decided it would be really great if we all did it together. Well, L had a broken arm so she could only cox, which is steering the boat and such like that. I guess she wasn't really happy with that, and she needed $45 dollars, the amount we all paid in the beginning, to run a marathon. So L got a refund and ran her marathon and dropped out of Crew. Then I went on a bunch of vacations and sprained my wrist and missed 10 practices, so D wasn't having much fun alone and she dropped out too without even telling me. So now it's just me, and I'm doing it another year. I got a letter from it last year, also. In the beginning of the summer season, and the end of the fall season, we row after school. In the summertime, we row in the morning. Despite the early rising, (we get on the water by 7:00) that's my favorite time to row. Because there are only a few fishers, hardly any boats, and the water is untouched. I'm usually in the bow, so the front of the boat, which means that my oar is the first to break the even water. And it's beatiful. We usually dock the boat at 10:00, and by then the sun's fully up and beating down on us, so the occansional splash is refreshing. Oh, it's just a small team of girls that I row with. Anyway, I'd forgotten what a joy rowing is. And today was perfect. The water was a little cold when it was splashed up by another rowers oar, but it felt good after the sun. (A little sidenote, did you know that the difference between an oar and a paddle is that the oar attaches to the boat, whereas the paddle just hangs freely.) There was a small breeze, but it wasn't so windy that we couldn't go on the water. When we first got there, there was a small muskrat in the water, whom we promptly dubbed Kitty. There used to be another muskrat, Sally, but she died last year. There was also a heron, I think, that was flying around the fishermen on the dock and landed on the opposite shore, promptly rested, then took off again. It was a big bird, and looked as if it would be clumsy, but it was totally in it's element. Anyway, we rowed, did our piece, practiced our race starts, and we even rowed all 8 at the same time without the slightest fear of tipping over. Our small lake is surrounded by mountains that seem to cut us off from the world and outside distractions. As we were coming back in, we were facing the trees, and before our eyes, a bald eagle came and landed on a somewhat dead tree and just sat there, as peaceful and powerful as it could be. We smoothly docked and carried the boat back. At the end, I'm sorry to end this on a bad note, I had blisters on all my fingers and a muscle cramp in my calf, and my ride was late picking me up. But the greats definitely out way the bads. I love rowing.

My First Post

ok, so I'm kinda new to all this blogging business, so bear with me. In my limited experience, blogs are normally used to document people's journey's through their goals or just used as an online diary. I guess I'm just gonna go with the flow here and maybe do a mix of both.

Right so I'll start off with a basic description of myself. I'm a curly-headed brunette young female, about 5'6''. I guess you could say I'm smart. I mean, I get good grades (meaning As and Bs). So now you know I'm school age. By the way, I'm not going to tell you guys my age. I really don't think it matters and it might color your opinion differently than what it might have been. I love clothes (a newfound passion), ModCloth.com, MyLifeIsAverage, summer, cooking and baking. I play tennis and was on the tennis team. I row. Like, boats. I hate to clean or do any chore. I have 2 dogs, 2 fish, 1 bird, 2 horses, and I think that's it. My favorite singers/songs right now are Gogol Bordello, Sam Sparro, MGMT, The Beatles, and my favorite song as of last night is Clint Eastwood by Gorillaz. I watch Pushing Daisies, Greek, Glee; I used to watch Emergency!, Sea Dive, Adam-12, Earth 2, and they were all great shows. Well, sometimes. I like to read. I knit and I want to learn how to sew. That's all I can think of for now.

I guess that concludes my first post, maybe? yeah, so bye. oh, you guys can call me Muff. It's my nickname. Bye!
